Holman & Moody; Burnouts and Moonshine

Most of us will be a big car show, or two years. This usually drive from the city or even abroad. It was a weekend of fun and cars, but then rush back to work and normal routine. I also know from experience that the West Coast tend to believe that there are good cars east of Nevada and Arizona. Well, let me tell you the facts. Have you heard of Holman & Moody, David Pearson, Cotton Owens, moonlight and Benny Parsons? I could go on and on, but it will not.

Good friends of ours, the last time Rick and Sherrie Stanton, Calif., retired from his beautiful tribute to Benny Parsons, a car at Talladega Ford Family Reunion. It has more than 2,000 miles one way. I knew Rick and Sherrie are excited about this trip, we had dinner at the meeting, but I had no idea what was once in a lifetime experience, he had planned. If you do not believe that the car in the world is a place that is missing in the SE.

As we know from previous articles Talladega Ford family and the Forge Muscle Car Shows hugely successful, but Rick and Sherrie was only a foretaste. From there hit the road in their camper for a NASCAR Talladega Tribute in tow and headed for the Holman Moody and trade to see what was over. Another thing is that they drive from a trailer park on the slops of Holman & Moody know. Apart from Lee Holman and Slick Owens was there!

Rick had his invitation to a special event, which is a tribute to Benny Parsons. Rick is a tribute to Benny Parsons, the car will appear as a central part of the day. From there one led to another, and Stanton was out to visit next month, Cotton Owens on the way home to NASCAR legend David Pearson and champions, meet and then meet Cale Yarborough and his tour of 4000 hectares of Property!







On the way home to California, through Tennessee and Rick and Sherrie Katrina and called me to remember about his escapades in the south and you could hear the joy and disbelief in his voice about what they have done and the great hospitality that some of them the biggest car-athletes and people in the world. Next time you go to a car show from their region to make sure you leave a little extra time to plan to meet new people with the car.
