SR-71 New Mustang was $ 375,000 at auction EEA AirVenture

Two names in the industry shook the car - the driver and producer-cum-racer Carroll Shelby and the design engineer Jack Roush - have teamed up with Ford Project Mustang built car inspired by industry airline called SR-71 "Blackbird."

Vehicles sold at auction was $ 375,000 Experimental Aircraft Exhibition Association (EAA) AirVenture Oshkosh 2010 - the largest aviation event in the world. The entire amount of the auction has been contributing to fund programs of the EAA Young Eagles Program.

Mustang SR-71 "Blackbird" is only a unique and inspired designs from the aircraft SR-71 "Blackbird" manufactured by Lockheed Martin. This aircraft is currently holding the record for most airlines and is considered one of the most impressive aircraft ever built.
SR-71 "Blackbird" was developed based on the 2011 Mustang GT 5.0 chassis equipped with glass roof. The upgraded features of Ford Racing (including the turbocharger, packages Handling Pack, exhaust system and pipe the new po) add 100 horsepower 5 liter V8 engine. Package Handling Pack improved driving feel and lower the chassis down to add height 25.4 mm.

Design impressive body paint in black-gray tones and decorative graphic style SR-71. High-performance gear, bumpers and the spoiler panels are showing influences from the jet. Meanwhile, the original drawings on the glass roof panels show a spirit of free full breadth of the design team.

Inside the cabin just for two people and are equipped with protection cage, racing seats and fire fighting equipment. Seating surface shaped embroidered signature of Jack Roush and Carroll Shelby, while the gauges and dashboard graphics add special decorations.
