Company Subaru has decided to create a series of the preview trailers propagandising new sedan WRX STI. The company has asked rally pilot Dave Mirra to take for a drive several people under one of platforms on the 305-strong car and has catch all this action on video.
As a result it has turned out five preview trailers. We too have looked them and now we ask a question and where to get this knob in the form of a skull on the aerial?
BMW has officially presented model under name BMW M3 GTS. At once it is necessary to tell it is not one more simple version BMW M3. She is the queen of all M3, top of its development. As it is possible to understand from the name, BMW M3 GTS is constructed on the basis of standard BMW M3. But if under cowl M3 there is a motor in volume of 4,0 l (420 h.p. and 400 Nm) the new Bavarian coupe can already brag of 450 h.p. whom the engine in volume already gives out 4,4 l. The twisting moment has grown also – now it is equal 440 Nm. Besides, M3 GTS has also lower weight thanks to what a parity the weight-capacity here makes only 3,4 kg on 1 h.p.
In general M3 GTS rather seriously differs from usual M3. And business not only in the engine. New super car has received the modernised 7-step gear box with two clutches which is intended for operation on racing lines. The rigid attachment bearing part of a rear suspension, and also the absorbers having separate travel adjustment of compression and a course of a release became distinctive feature BMW M3 GTS more. Besides other, the corner of a camber front and rear wheels and height of lifting of the car are regulated depending on conditions of races. The front part of the car falls on 16 mm, and rear – on 12 mm.
The highly effective braking system presented in BMW M3 GTS, has fixed a caliper with six buckets on each of front wheels and four – on rear. Diameter of front brake plates on 18 mm, and rear – on 30 mm more than in BMW M3. Also the brake hoses reinforced by a steel wire are used.
As you have already understood, BMW M3 GTS is created first of all for drive on racing lines. For this reason the car has received a racing modesty panel and rear aerodynamic elements which can be adjusted depending on character of a line or according to technical regulations of race. For this purpose it is possible to vary geometry of elements of a modesty panel and to change rear wing position. Rear wing BMW M3 GTS is arranged by the same principle that on BMW 320si, acting in championship WTCC.
Car is painted in orange colour of a body. Also it is necessary to notice that rear mufflers here are made of the titan, the central extension housing and door panels are made of easy materials, rear side windows from poly-carbonate glasses, in the car there are no rear seats, the climate control and an audiosystem. As a result weight BMW M3 GTS without loading under standard DIN makes 1530 kg, including a roll bar and gear box M Dual Clutch Drivelogic (at BMW M3 — 1600 kg).
Dynamic characteristics BMW M3 GTS are good. Dispersal to 100 km/h for 4,4 sec, from a place the car overcomes 1000 metres for 22,5 sec, the maximum speed of the car – 305 km/h.
The well-known line of Nordschleife any more is one decade arena of correspondence competition of manufacturers super cars, and the new absolute record among serial cars is established Ferrari 599XX which steered factory test pilot Rafaelle de Simone. The Italian coupe became the first model which has left seven minutes. Version 599XX costs between road sport cars and racing cars. It is produced in lots on the basis of model 599 GTB Fiorano, but has no certification for public roads. Clients buy it only for use during time track days when on racing lines suppose all interested persons. Capacity of the base motor of this version is raised from 611 to 720 h.p., and the body is facilitated at the expense of wide application of composit materials and carbon.
French concept Citroen Survolt became one of the most unusual cars of a motor show in Geneva. It is not known, whether can transfer photos all aura of this car? Probably, no. For Survolt looks rather abruptly. As always, Citroens designers managed to make something unusual (we and love this mark for it), and thus them concept does not look, how any misunderstanding. The car has turned out very integral and that the most important thing, beautiful.
When you approach to stand Citroen Survolt it seems big. But actually it is rather compact car - from a nose to a tail only 3850 mm. It even is less, than at Volkswagen Polo or Citroen C3!
